SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market

Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market
I was lucky enough to fit in a quick visit to Seoul's main fish market on my last night here. Noryangjin fisheries wholesale market is in a building that looks like a massive futuristic ocean liner and inside it is like a shopping mall but for seafood. Nearly all the seafood is kept alive in aquariums. I found it very interesting as you could select and buy your seafood and get them to cook it for you straight away or have them sashimi it for you. There is also a heap of restaurants and cafes surrounding the fish markets if you want a more upmarket seafood feast.
The actual volume of live seafood on display was astonishing with vendors keeping everything from shellfish, crabs, lobsters up to huge flounder, trevally, snapper and mullet. It just gives you an idea of the amount of seafood consumed by the population here.
That's it from me from Korea. Looking forward to being back home in Australia and applying some of the lessons learnt from this trip.
